Happy Inauguration Day 2021, America. Some of us seem to be breathing a bit easier with less anxiety. In a blink of an eye-the COVID-19 Pandemic has been forgotten about. As when Joe Biden was first elected as President just over two months ago, Americans are once again pouring onto our City Streets with utter Joy. For reasons unbeknownst to me-many U.S. Citizens have convinced themselves that celebrations are now in order. Long gone are the unprecedented challenges we saw in 2020.

I am puzzled as to why many American Citizens believe our Economic, Political and Social Uncertainties-are going to improve with a Joe Biden Administration. It seems we have deceived ourselves into believing the United States of America has made a sudden about-face from this Bottom we’re dinging ourselves into. Our social media platforms show countless people embracing renewed hope. Embedding in a False Sense of Ease and Comfort is in order: For ‘My Name is America and I’m an Alcoholic…’

Flashback: Denver Black Lives Matter Protests June, 2020

Since August 2022, I have lived in Denver, Colorado. Denver was one of the many cities that experienced Social Upheaval in Summer 2020. Once dusk arrived-the Black Lives Matter (BLM) Protests seemed to manifest into something different. Rioting and Increased Civil Unrest ensued. The Denver Police Department attempted to disperse crowds using Flash Charges and Rubber Bullets. As dawn came upon us, several buildings in the area of Colfax and Broadway were vandalized.

It was troubling to see, streaming live, from a local News Helicopter, individuals in front of The Colorado State House vandalizing Colorado State Senate President Leroy Garcia’s Truck and another state vehicle directly parked next to it. I wondered to myself why isn’t the Denver Police Department intervening? Especially with what is happening on State House Property.

Because of my personal curiosity, I drove to downtown Denver to get a sense of the Energy emitting from the area. I walked around bewildered. The State House was vandalized. Windows broken, graffiti painted all over it, and a slew of other visual damage. What really caught my attention was the Ralph L. Carr Judicial Center. City Officials had bordered up all the windows on the first level. A fence was being put up around the perimeter to prevent further vandalism. It gave the feeling as though the phrase, ‘Justice For All,’ etched in the top of the front entrance way, was closed to the Average Coloradan (See, FaceBook Post&Pics, June 6, 2020).

At the same time though, I have to be honest with you. I was having a different reaction as well. I can identify with the Justifiable Anger Americans have towards the current state of Our Nation and its Political Leaders. Our State and Federal Branches of Government seem to be impeding on Our Constitutional Rights and the Rule of Law against ‘We The People’ in many ways. What is more troublesome is this feels like it has escalated throughout these Epic & Historic COVID-19 Times.

Not only do African Americans, but Minorities, Immigrants, Lower, Middle and Working Classes (including Whites) feel as though Our Elected Officials haven’t cared about the Average American Citizen for quite some time. And this is becoming more transparent each and every day. Sadly, Our Government Leaders, and those Privileged Citizens traveling within their inner circles, seem to have no concern about us-especially in an Uncertain Future. However, they exude the facade of having empathy by organizing fundraisers (Way to Go, Oprah!) joining a Board of Directors of a Human Services Agency, or donating money to whatever Social Cause solicits their interest at the time.

Flash Forward The Storming of The U.S. Capital: January 6, 2021

-What is the legal definition of an insurrection?

-Did Donald Trump willfully participate in these events to transpire in the manner they did?

-The aftermath: The Labeling, Charges and Sentencing of the Willing Participants. Sending a message to future ‘Insurrectionists,’ and even future ‘Patriots’ Will the far Democratic Woke Left attempt to mislabel Patriotism as Domestic Terrorism?

I will hypothesize the events of January 6, 2021 were probably caused by no more than 25% of the Trump Protesters who appeared in Washington, DC on that fateful day. Tragically, they radicalized themselves into ‘Insurrectionists’ by storming The Capital and occupying several offices. And yes-there was vandalism within this beautiful building of Ours.

And Now we get to witness-either on CNN or Fox News another Round of Impeachment Frenzy and other subsequent Countless Election Charges against an individual who is No longer President of the United States. For a Political Party who despises Former President Trump, why do Democrats keep bringing him back in the public eye? Their obsessive hatred toward Donald Trump seems to be their unifying cry.

Although as heard in Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, ‘Resentments can be our number one offender.’ Will this misguided Political Approach attempting to ‘cancel out’ a possible re-election bid of former President Trump in 2024, actually increase his chances of winning the next Presidential Election? Especially if Our Economic, Political and Social Maladies come to a head before November 2024.
